"Home base for Ichiban Catering — private sushi and hibachi chef service across the Denver Metro area."
Ichiban Catering is based in Denver and serves the entire metro area — from downtown and LoDo to Cherry Creek, the Highlands, Wash Park, Capitol Hill, and surrounding communities including Lakewood, Aurora, Centennial, Littleton, Arvada, and Westminster. Denver is our home market. Most of our events take place here, and we know the city well — the venues, the logistics, and the rhythm of hosting in different neighborhoods and settings. Whether it is a backyard party in Wash Park, a corporate lunch in a downtown high-rise, or a wedding reception at an event venue in Cherry Creek, we bring the same level of service and preparation to every booking. We offer two core services: private sushi catering and live hibachi chef service. Our sushi buffet starts at $70 per adult ($35 for children under 12), with a $700 minimum and at least 10 guests. The Chef's Special / omakase is priced at market rate for a more curated experience. Hibachi catering starts at $55 per adult ($25 for children 12 and under), with a $600 minimum unless otherwise agreed. Each booking includes the chef station, equipment, ingredients, and on-site food preparation and service. Denver hosts a wide range of private events, and our service format adapts to most of them. Home dinner parties are among the most common — a sushi bar set up in your kitchen or dining room, or a hibachi grill on the patio. Birthday celebrations, milestone events, and graduation parties are popular throughout the year. Corporate events — team lunches, client appreciation dinners, and company celebrations — are a growing part of our Denver bookings, especially in the downtown, Cherry Creek, and Tech Center corridors. Wedding receptions and rehearsal dinners are another strong fit. Sushi service works well as a cocktail-hour station or as the main course at a seated reception. Hibachi brings a performance element that works especially well for smaller, more interactive receptions. We coordinate with your venue or event planner to make sure the service fits the flow of the evening. Holiday gatherings and seasonal entertaining peak from November through January, but Denver's event calendar runs year-round. Rooftop events are popular during the warmer months — typically May through October — when the weather cooperates. Hibachi works especially well outdoors, where the live cooking becomes part of the atmosphere. We set up at private homes, backyards, patios, rooftops, corporate offices, conference rooms, event spaces, and community venues. For indoor events, we need access to a standard power outlet and enough clearance for the chef station or grill setup. If you are hosting in a high-rise or a venue with elevator-only access, let us know in advance so we can plan the load-in. Most Denver venues are straightforward, but we prefer to confirm the details before the event rather than troubleshoot on arrival. The outdoor season in Denver typically runs from May through October, depending on weather and altitude. Hibachi is well suited to outdoor settings — the open flame, the sizzle, and the chef's interaction with guests are all enhanced by being outside. For sushi, indoor or covered outdoor spaces work best to keep the ingredients at the right temperature. When you book with Ichiban for a Denver event, the process starts with confirming your date, guest count, and service format — sushi, hibachi, or both. We discuss the venue, the space available, and any logistics that might affect setup. From there, we confirm the menu, finalize pricing, and handle the rest. On the day of the event, our chef arrives with everything needed — station, equipment, and ingredients — and sets up with minimal disruption to your space. After service, we clean our area and leave. We recommend booking at least one week in advance to secure your preferred date, though earlier is better during peak seasons. All bookings require a deposit, with final terms confirmed at the time of reservation. If you need to cancel, our policy provides a full refund (minus processing fees) for cancellations made seven or more days before the event. Whether you are hosting 10 guests or 100, whether the setting is a small apartment kitchen or a large corporate event space, our service is designed to adapt. The food is prepared fresh on-site, the chef engages with your guests, and the experience feels personal rather than mass-produced. That is the standard we hold for every Denver event. Travel fees may apply depending on the event location. Please contact us directly to confirm travel fees for your date and venue. Denver is where we started, and it remains the center of our operation. If you are planning an event anywhere in the metro area, we are likely already familiar with the neighborhood and the logistics.
